Peter has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Kingston General Hospital; Assistant Deputy Minister, Health Canada; and Associate Deputy Minister, Saskatchewan Health. Upon retirement from KGH, he continued his work in health services as a consultant on health care policy, planning, governance and management, both in Canada and internationally.
He has been a member of, and chaired, many task forces, committees and organizations in health care and health research. He is a member of the Queen’s University Health Sciences and Affiliated Teaching Hospitals Research Ethics Board.
Locally, he spent a number of years on the Board of Frontenac Community Mental Health and Addictions Services. He continues to volunteer with Martha’s Table and spends many hours as a maintenance and restoration volunteer at the Great Lakes Museum.
