DIVE INTO OUR COLLECTIONS
About the Collection
Spanning 200 years, the Museum collection consists of archival documents, photographs, artefacts and ship plans originating from the Great lakes region between Montreal and and the Lakehead at Thunder Bay. There is also an extensive art collection, a museum ship and the historic site the Museum calls home.
Ship Lists
The archival collection includes several unique registers of ships and ship owners. These lists include general information about vessels, such as port of origin and ownership, and are provided publicly to support research and education.
Resources
The Museum offers a number of resources for rearchers; including hosting an international electronic discussion group and in-house support for research projects.
