Museum Manager and Curator
Doug joined the Great Lakes Museum board in 2008 and was recruited as Museum Manager in 2011. Previously, Doug accumulated 34 years in the marine industry, working as a boat builder, marine surveyor inspecting commercial and recreational vessels, writer and editor of boating safety publications, and contributor to safety standards for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of recreational boats. A lifelong sailor, he has logged many nautical miles of ocean sailing, but enjoys dinghy sailing most in Kingston harbour.
